Sorry for not blogging @ everyone...

Sorry for not blogging for such a LONG long time... I've been busy with my Post graduate CRM studies and can luckily say I successfully passed the exam :) Did cost me a lot of time though, but am happy to catch up with my blogging again. Do stay posted, have a lot of inspiring new stuff already scheduled to go live the coming days!

Worked quite hard on my frunzel site this weekend. A lot of new photos of mosaics and pillows I made are now up. It's beginning to look a bit like a 'real' site now...

More inspiration from Israel: Jerusalem, West Bank & the North

Personal inspiration from Tel Aviv

Wow, it's been almost a month since I posted something to my blog. Been quite busy lately and amongst other things, I went to Israel on holiday.

Here's some photo's of things that inspired me over there... I'll start with some things that caught my attention in Tel Aviv:

Fake painted windows and door on a building - funny display window in window


Real veggies and fruit on the local market and... respect for the disabled fruits :)


Funny pluches - pillows from MiaTou, where everything in the shop is handmade!

And some mosaics inspiration too...

Next being busy with the cholocates, I've also been working on a mosaics assignment for the mother of a friend of mine...

It's quite a big mirror of 50 cm by 60 cm and after the framework was finished, I started out with putting up the flowers last week. After the flowers were finished, which actually looks quite ugly on the photo on the left here, I started to fill up the other (not filled in) spaces with white. After the last piece had been filled in, I was finally happy :) Now only the pointing has to be done and it will be finished...

Chocolate inspiration!

I just had a very nice, inspirational day with two of my girlfriends. As a somewhat delayed birthday present, they took me to a 'chocolaterie' to learn how to create our own chocolates.

Always great to have a day where you can set your mind to be occupied with one single thing and just enjoy what your doing - talking about 'mindfullness', this was a good day for it :-) For the Dutch among us, if you'd like to do the same: you can find more info about the workshop on Chocola.nu

Free rice! Learn your English well and give rice to people who need it.

On FreeRice.com you can take a 'quiz' on English language. It teaches you a lot about English words and... for every word you guess right, 20 grains of rice are sent into the world. Who pays for this you might ask? Well, the advertisers do!

Came across this initiative at Lost At E Minor and couldn't help but share. Isn't this GREAT? Would love to set up something like this one day too. What's better than to help other people who really need it, by doing something fun at the same time?

Inspiring evening: making frunzel pillows

Been quite busy making some more pillows this evening. After dinner I grabbed my textiles, sewing machine and other stuffies... Couldn't wait to start. Some photos of the process:

     

Made a dotted black and white pillow for my friend's birthday. Found it so lovely, I just needed to make more... This was actually my inspiration for some hard work :-)

They look a bit strange still, as they are not ready to sell yet. Of course. When I've finished them, they will be up on the frunzel site (soon!)...

The new year has started. Here we go...

I've been very busy putting up my frunzel interior accessoiries website and hope to have it up very soon on the original url www.frunzel.nl (waiting for my little brother).

Of course I've also been crafting more and more pillows and mosaics (which I need to put on photo soon as well). My personal favorite is The Sophisticated Pink Beauty, but more is here:
